Dr. Arthur “Artie” Mabbett

Dr. Arthur (Artie) A. Mabbett is currently the Director of Advanced High Speed Weapons at Raytheon Missile Systems. From 2014-2016 he served as the Director of the LRASM Deployment Office (LDO), responsible for leading a joint team of Navy, Air Force, and Contractors chartered by USD(AT&L) to deliver an advanced capability to the fleet on an accelerated timeline by piloting the new DoD 5000 Accelerated Acquisition Model. Prior to LDO, Dr. Mabbett was a Program Manager in the Tactical Technology Office (TTO) from 2010-2014 and a Program Manager at the Office of Naval Research from 2008-2010. Dr. Mabbett received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, Master's Degrees in Mechanical and Aero Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech. Dr. Mabbett was awarded the DARPA Program Manager of the Year Award in the Fall of 2013 and the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service in January 2016.
